Office volunteers support the mission of Spartanburg Shares by directly assisting clients with medical equipment loan/return process.
Volunteers should have the following skills, experience and abilities:
Basic knowledge of computer and internet usage
Good phone/verbal skills
The ability to work cooperatively with other volunteers
Pleasant manner, patience and dependability
Volunteers report directly to the Volunteer Coordinator.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Open Spartanburg Shares at start of shift if applicable
Secure the Spartanburg Shares office at the end of service hours if applicable
Electronically complete loan/return transaction (See Computerized Loan/Return Process Manual)
Work collaboratively with workroom volunteers to assist clients completion of loan and return transactions in a timely manner
Keep office area tidy; empty garbage weekly or as needed
Keep volunteer coordinator updated on any pertinent information via email/phone
Keep accurate record of personal volunteer time in volunteer log
Attend volunteer meetings and training when requested
